1. I request The Merchants of Venice (hereafter called Themov.co.uk) to grant me a Berthing Licence for a berth afloat for the vessel described below, in accordance with the scale I have indicated below, and I enclose a remittance value of £150 as a deposit for renting a berth which I understand is not refundable in the case of cancellation, or the berth not being taken up within one month. The sum is refundable on expiry of the contract assuming all due fees and costs received, and no damage made. 

2. I have read and accept the conditions set out below all of which shall form the agreement in due course, when this document is receipted for the total berth payment, or when the Standing Order mandate is in place or the vessel arrives at the mooring whichever is the earlier. 

3. I also understand that The Mov reserves the right to allocate berths according to availability and length/type of vessel & a flexible aproach is required on berthing space & you agree to move if required, to do so for mooring works or conveinience to accomodate others.

4. I declare that no Hire Purchase Company, mortgagee, other owner of any other person has an interest in the vessel other than set out below. (Application for a vessel owned by a Company shall be signed by a Director “as Guarantor”).

The berthing charge detailed above is inclusive of any VAT to be paid. 

CONDITIONS:

Any stay on Themov.co.uk, King Johns Island Moorings by a vessel outside of a 12 month contracted period shall be charged at a daily rate:

1. Vessels moored on Themov.co.uk moorings must be currently licensed by ANT and abide by their by-laws, including insurance and Boat Safety Certification requirements. 

2. Vessel owners are not permitted to attach or erect any object to or on Themov.co.uk property including the mooring and the river bank. 

3. All refuse, waste of any sort etc, that also include pets mess, lets be responsible in keeping the island clean for all users enjoying walks & family picnics, disposed of properly in the bins provided by the local council and not left at the Themov.co.uk mooring or discharged into the river. Looking out for our neighbours & local residents & also be responsible with our noise especially at night, although we know most boaters are a good group of folk.

4. No vessel berthed at Themov.co.uk mooring may be used for permanent habitation unless registered with the local council. 

5. No berthing fee reduction will be made for time a vessel is away from its contracted (Themov.co.uk) mooring. 

6. A new licence application may not necessarily be accepted by Themov.co.uk unless taken out at least 28 days before expiry of a current licence. 

7. Tenders to be kept & stored on board when requested to do so by the management or staff at busy mooring perioeds, so light inflatables are only acceptable. Other hull types only agreed in writing.

8. Fishing from your boat, permission is required please ask.
